Raya Operation

While looking for the big eagle, there was a white vulture preying on us -

Vulture : The passenger behind did not put on safety belt eh. Where you from?

Meow : We from lion city.

Vulture : License please.

He looked at the license to ensure it is issued by lion city and returned to us without checking the photo don't match Meow's face...SUSAH

Vulture : The passenger behind did not put on safety belt eh. The passenger behind, passport please.

Stupidly handover my passport to him. He hold dearly to it and threaten us.

Vulture : Now its Raya Operation. I will issue summon and you go polis station to pay 300 dollars fine.

Meow : Tolong, tolong ... don't issue ticket. We dont have so much money with us.

Vulture : How much can you pay?

Meow : 50

Vulture not happy with the miserable amount and continue to press on.

Vulture : You go polis station to talk to my supervisor.

Meow : Tolong, tolong lah ... don't issue ticket. Tolong, tolong la.

Vulture smelled our "eagle"-ness to compromise so he returned my passport to Meow.

Vulture : ok la, you pay 100 and I issue a motorcycle illegal parking ticket and write valid motorcycle license no.

Meow hurriedly pay him and drove off while Vulture continued his operation.

 

HK Kopitiam Tittletattle - 你反醒 吓先喇

There were three ah-tiong ladies chatting next to us.

Here the story goes -

Once upon a time ah-tiong Fatty had a boy-friend whom she financed him to start his own business.
Sadly later the boy-friend broke up with her for a richer woman.
However they still remain as "chat over drink and food" friends.
When Fatty was in financial crisis, she "telephoned" him to borrow HKD200,000
He did not agree initially so Fatty furiously reminded him about the debt he owed her.
Finally he still did not help her and avoid her call (>_<)
Till she tided over her crisis, he called her to meet for drink and food.

At this point, the other two ah-tiong ladies chided Fatty "你反醒 吓先喇"●～*
Fatty admitted that she finally realised this guy was a scumbag (ー_ー)

HK Kopitiam Tittletattle - 係咪咁講先

This phrase "係咪咁講先" caught Meow's attention (?_?)

Then we realised there was a Auntie talking loudly on her mobile behind Meow.
We got curious and eavesdropped to Auntie's conversation.

The story roughly like that -

Auntie was a cleaning supervisor and was complaining her subordinate did not change the trash bag when necessary.
When both were confronted, the subordinate defended that she did change on alternate days.
Auntie pointed that the trash bag must change whenever the rubbish was unpleasantly filthy
Subordinate sarcastically asked how to determine the filthiness- izzit by checking if there was mucus in the tissue.
When subordinate realised she was losing her ground, she thrust her head near to Auntie and challenged "Hit me lah, hit me lah" (~_~;)
Auntie replied that 君子动口不动手 (the wise person uses his tongue but not his fist)

The interesting part was Auntie repeated "係咪咁講先" Nth times throughout the whole conversation.
And it has become our fave phrase （＾ｖ＾）

Year 2011 - reflections

2011 - It was a year filled with events that led my thoughts and emotion like a roller coaster.

It was a year which I had frequent travel started from March -

It was a year which I had been very active-
Mar - Mt Kota Kinabalu
Apr - 2XU Compression run 12km
May - Passion run 25km
Jun - Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon 21km
Jul - Marina run 21km
Oct - Nike run 10km, NorthFace Trail run 25km & Newton run 18km
Nov - Salomon X-trail 10km
Dec - Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 42km

It was a year which I had watched many K-dramas -
49 days - teary and meaningful story's moral value and unexpected ending
City Hunter - handsome actor and sweet actress
Heartstrings - plain vanilla and expected ending
My princess - plain vanilla, no chemistry between the actor and actress
Protect the boss - funny story but could made my BFF fell asleep
Scent of a woman - teary and meaningful story's moral value
Secret Garden - beautiful scenery, fantasy plot and handsome actor

It was a year which I had worked stressfully -

C-ILP Legacy Convergence

It was a year which I had my first experience -
Up and down a mountain within 36 hours ... tough as if running 6 full marathons
Tendered my resignation by email ... advance technology
Drove in Perth ... since my last drive in NZ after >10 years
Caught two colleagues rendezvous in a hotel ... Tsk, Tsk, Tsk
Ran trail - NorthFace and Salomon ... running cum trekking
Painted ceilings ... ached neck and arms

Year 2012 - another new chapter of my life journey and I will continue to fill the blank pages with words that describe my thoughts, emotions and opinions.
